I'm working on a collaborative student website on Scottish Poetry and I want the site to include recordings of poems in Scots and Gaelic. I would like to have some flexibility where the plugin is positioned on the front end. Any advice gratefully received. Alison

Open up a free SoundCloud account, upload your sound file, then post a link to it on your WordPress site, or embed the SoundCloud player on your post.
