   I posted this over on the Gephi forums as well, but I know many of you have experience with this as well so I thought I'd give it a shot here.

   Currently I have my csv file set up as such: ID column=complete list of all nodes, X column=latitude in degrees, Y column=longitude in degrees, Source=source nodes, target=target nodes. But when I import this into Gephi I get a giant amorphous blob of all of my nodes with no connections between them and no ability to geooverlay it or export it to google earth.I can't seem to import my data in the correct format that will allow me to do the geo stuff. How can I fix this?

   Hi John,

   I think you need to split your file into two files, a node list and an edge list, then import each file into Gephi. The edge list would have the id, source, and target columns, and the node list would have the id, x, and y columns. Then you import the edge list into Gephi, and join the attributes by importing the node list and joining it to the nodes created by the edge list import using the ID column--see here: https://forum.gephi.org/viewtopic.php?t=1514.

   Once you do that, you should be able to export it to Google Earth. Let me know if you're still having trouble, and I can help with that.

   The importing of the different files worked like a charm, but I still can't export it. First it says it can't find any geo coordinates and that I need to refresh my preview screen. But my preview screen is blank and when I refresh it, Gephi crashes. I've seen this problem before on various forums but don't know if there's a definitive answer yet.I've installed a patch and reinstalled Gephi but to no avail.

   Overcame Gephi preview screen errors, but now when I go to save the file as a KMZ I get a java.lang.nullpointerexception and opening the file in google earth says that it is empty...
