I am a Technology - Digital Media major, and I have to create a small Digital Humanities project for my English class. It doesn't have to be about English but I don't know quite what would be a digital humanities project or what kind of thing would be helpful? Or just some readings that would help me think of a project.
What can someone not in the humanities do to help digital humanities?

Has your professor given you any guidelines or direction? If not, I'd say you should ask for that, firmly and directly. Without that, you might get set up for failure. "A small Digital Humanities project" is not really sufficient to give any guidance from the community, especially when I assume a grade is on the line. What counts as "Digital Humanities" is far from having a widely accepted consensus, so in a teaching/learning environment, some parameters will be needed.

Replying to @Patrick Murray-John's post:
I agree, but that is literally all he explained for the project so far. So really I was more hoping for people to answer the title question what can someone not in the humanities do for the digital humanities. Or rather What could I as a digital media major do to help. I understand there is a lot of trouble shooting and just answering questions about tech stuff could be helpful, but is there anything else I could do?

This from Brian Croxall might be one place to start, though again, it's kinda shooting in the dark with more parameters. Good luck.
