I am looking to do some research on arts organizations (museums, foundations, collectives, etc.) integrating technology in their institutions and am wondering if anyone knows of or has compiled a Twitter list, bibliography or something similar. If not, I would happily take suggestions and compile a list myself.
Where can I find a list of tech savvy arts organizations or institutions?

I'd recommend joining the Museum Computer Network listserv and asking them how they're using technology in day-to-day operations. A lot of museums are providing wireless access and mobile apps that tie into collections to give people broader background of artifacts on display.

Micah, for the museum side of your question: a number of tech-oriented museums coalesce around the Museums & the Web conference and site, so you can probably pull a number of institutions from there: http://conference.archimuse.com/
They've also got a great bibliography of conference-related research papers, if that would help you: http://conference.archimuse.com/researchForum
I second Ethan's recommendation of MCN--that's a great resource as well. They've got a technology registry going, at http://www.musetechcentral.org/
Also, the hashtag #musetech gets some pretty good play among museum technology-related folks: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23musetech

I'm passing on some recommendations from Nancy Proctor, who is Head of Mobile Strategy & Initiatives for the Smithsonian Institution:
http://museum3.org/
http://www.exhibitfiles.org/ and
http://www.followamuseum.com/and she says, "Try @museweb @sebchan and @museumnerd for twitter lists of museums and museum people interested in tech, & those in their lists!"
